So many places to launch your kayak in Ft. Pierce. This list is simply a starting place. there are so many more places!!! Let's start with a few on the islands that are FREE: I like free! So, I will not include the Ft Pierce Inlet State Park (which charges admission to the park), but you are welcome to launch there to.
North Hutchinson Island:
North Causeway Island Boat Ramp--has a great, easy access, kayak/paddle board launch spot. This boat ramp is on the Left Hand side of road as soon as you cross the drawbridge onto the island. After entering the park, look to the right (there is a separate parking spot that is not paved) the kayak launch is there. Public restrooms and picnic tables are also found at this park.

Little Jim's--On down the island a little ways (approx 1/2 mile) on the right hand side of the road is Little Jim's who has another great spot to launch kayaks. He also sells bait and tackle, and sandwiches.
North Island @ Pepper Park Riverside--great walking trials and easy spot to launch kayaks. Pepper Park is just past the Navy Seal Museum (about 2.4 miles once you cross the drawbridge onto the island). It has paved parking. Enter the riverside park, go around the round about, follow road around to backside of park. Public restrooms, picnic tables too.
Queen's Island Park--an out of the way, quiet place to launch your yak. Sometimes the entry into this park is a little rough (esp during the rainy season). The park is located on the left hand side of the road about 4.1 miles once you cross the drawbridge on the island.
South Hutchinson Island:
Jaycee Park--South Hutchinson Island has both a boat ramp and nice locations to launch kayaks. Paved parking, small beach, playgrounds and public restrooms. The park is located about 3.0 miles on the right (after you cross the causeway bridge).

Bear Point Sanctuary, about 4.5 miles down the road (once you cross the causeway bridge), you will find this quiet place to launch your kayak, parking lot is gravel. Walking trails are also here. Bring a camera!
